The book has many good examples, however it is lacking thorough explanation in some areas. I also purchased " Fundamentals of Structural Analysis" by Kenneth Leet, and I found that his explanations|About the Author|R.C. Hibbeler graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana with a BS in Civil Engineering (major in Structures) and an MS in Nuclear Engineering.
